invitee

A person invited to enter the property of another. An invitee is a person who comes on the occupiers premises with his consent, on business in which the occupier and he have a common interest. At common law, an invitee, using reasonable care on his own part for his own safety, is entitled to expect that the occupier shall in his part use reasonable care to prevent damage from unusual danger which he knows or ought to know.
