Sharia (or Shariah) Archaic religious juridical system, which regulates the entire social life of Moslems and non-Muslims under Islamic dominance. Believed by Moslems to be God-given, thus immutable. A country which isn`t ruled by the Sharia is not considered pacified, as in the Islamic notion of peace. Bid`ah, Fard, Fiqh, Hadith, Hudd and Tafsir are part of the jurisprudence.
