Gazwa (Ghaswa, Qazwa) Name given to the 78 raids in which Mohammed himself participated. The proper translation for Gazwa is raid, not battle or `defensive war` as Moslems like to say. Most of these raids were done by treacherous ways and have nothing to do with a fair battle as we figure.
