right of entry Right or resuming possession of land by entering. Proviso for re-entry in a lease indicates that a lessor may re-enter on a breach of covenant by the lessor. Right of re-entry is not enforceable unless and until notice is served on the lessee and reasonable time is afforded to him to remedy the breach. It is unlawful to enforce a right of re-entry except through court proceedings while the occupier is lawfully residing in the premises. |
